Causes

It is transmitted from person-to-person by direct contact through touching, kissing, or coughing or sneezing on someone who is not infected.  Infectious diseases can also be transmitted indirectly by water or foodborne illness, contaminated food and water, through insects, mosquitoes, fleas, lice and ticks or through aerosolization of infected particles.

Symptoms

The signs and symptoms of infectious diseases may range from mild to moderate to severe. The symptoms may vary from person to person depending upon the pathogen and host. The clinical presentation of infectious diseases may include the signs and symptoms which are listed below,

The commonly used antifungals are fluconazole, ketoconazole and mebendazole. In case of viral infection, supportive therapies are recommended. Your doctor advised you to take complete bed rest and maintain proper hydration by drinking plenty of water and fluid. The best way to prevent the disease is to get vaccinated.
